Olive Telecom has come up with the Olive Pad which has almost all the features of the iPad. Its list of features include internet browsing, multimedia playback, instant messaging, gaming, turn-by-turn directions, reading e-books and it can also be used to watch television. The tablet with 7” touchscreen also dons the role of a smartphone with voice and video call capabilities. Running on Google's Android OS, the Olive Pad supports 3.5G HSUPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. It has dual cameras (a 3 megapixel rear camera and a VGA front camera) and mini-USB port as well. The price tag of the device is Rs. 25,000 and it’s expected to be available in stores by August.
